He paid for a guide on the boat. Unfortunately the bass hasn't been biting right now.

I tried to fish for bass there one spring but the bass weren't interested in my lures. I think they will be spawning soon...you can actually see them in the water.

Went out on a recent overnight fishing trip with my coworkers. The boat was the Sea Bisquit out of Channel Islands Sportfishing. We fished on the backside of San Miguel and Santa Rosa Islands. Al of us caught Lingcods! The jackpot fish. My bro with his Rock sole A great trip but the ride out was really rough.

Dang... those lings are yummy!! Is22" still the size limit? I remember catching lingasaurs at miguel. And big flatties at china beach on Santa rosa... but that was 12+ years ago

Yes 22 inches is still the legal size limit for Cali. The season for rockfish and lingcod opened up on March 1st.
