Its cool... I like it. It gives me options of having "lower light" corals. Trust me, It SPREADS! Just isnt as intense as directly below the fixture. Cant wait to see the PAR on the bottom corners. Probably more than enough to grow montis on the bottom corners :-) But i just have zoas and torchs there

Oh wow I just realized that's my green acro in the center of your tank. You got a really good deal on that one. I paid like $90 for it.
Usually I like to light acclimate my new corals. That means putting them at the bottom of the tank so they don't get too much light. Then slowly over a week or two raising it to the place you want it to be.
When corals are transferred from one tank to another they get stressed and the same amount of light they were getting can be too much right after transfer. From my experience this is especially true for acropora colonies. Usually acropora colonies are a lot more sensitive during transfers than frags.

Richard, Actually he is on the bottom. He was placed there for the pic with all the lights on. The light i have has the option of running 100 watts or 200 watts... As of right now im only running it on 100 watts. The other acros that i got are on the bottom, I just wanted to see it in all its glory :-)

Oh whoa the reefkoi light let's you choose between 100w and 200w? Does that change the color rating?

It has 2 switches on it. Each switch controls 2 50 watt panels and they have the same amount of whites to blues on each panel. And each panel isnt side by side. Its either odd or even panels. Depends on which button you have on. I switch them up every day.
