The Angel is dead.. =( I will no longer try and keep fish that are prone to die. I will stick to Wrasse and Clowns.

Oh no, what happened? I wonder if angels are the reason lawrence's tank broke out in ick. Maybe angels are bad news...

Angels, especially larger ones are much harder to keep than baby's or dwarfs...they need a BIG and established tank...

TANK CRASH!! Lost about everything..... I have learned a valuable lesson, "IF IT AINT BROKE, DONT FIX IT". Everything was well in my tank until I began to implement advise and began changing things. The good news is I get to start fresh.

Oh no! Are the fish ok? Was it the sand disturbance that caused it?

Bummer. Sad to hear. Hopefully you'll have no problem getting it looking great again.

It was the Heater. Although it was a small current leak, it was enough to start killing coral. I didnt notice it until I stuck my hand in the tank to clean it and dropped the acrylic plastic scrapper, and when I reached in with my other hand i felt a tingle/shock. It was very minor but i felt it. My finger had a small cut on it, thats what helped my notice it. I dipped my other hand and nothing, i dipped the cut finger and BAM, shock. Although very stupid to do, I kept my cut finger in the sump while I disconnected equipment from the outlets. As soon as I disconnected the heater the tingle stopped. Since JBJ is closed I have to wait so I can head down there again and get the heaters replaced, and pick up the chiller hose connections they forgot to give me this past friday when I picked the chiller up from repair.

yesterday I finished the New Aqua-scape and bought a bag of black sand to see how it will look. I ordered more black sand and it should be here in 2 weeks Im guessing.

NO, on the black sand. I dumped a bag to see how it would look and do. well after 2 weeks the sand looks so dirty (detritus) that i have decided to go with fiji pink or Samoa pink. Last week I started noticing the browned out coral getting its color back. So far so good. But I will take things slowly, adding coral 1 at a time. ;D

I put in the new sand last night. The tank water cleared up quickly compared to previous tanks i have setup. Everything appears to be going smooth.

The Reef journey continues and the road to LED's seems closer and within reach.
