Hello Everyone, my Vortech MP10 ES seems to failing at the moment. It seems to be making a lot of noise which is coming exclusively from the dry side. I contacting vortech and they told me to send it in but I was wondering if anyone had experiences dealing with Vortech in this manner?
I would like to know how long servicing is expected to take (quickest and longest time) and if they will charge some service fee. They didn't get back to me on those questions so I am left in the dark.

I have dealt with them a few times and customer service is great. Only issue is they ship with ground instead of overnight shipping. Are you having them ship to Scotland?

The service was great.. my wet side fused together and bret from ecotech helped me out... We went back and forth on doing things. After it was all said and done they sent me a free wetside. Didn't even have to pay shipping. But it did take awhile to get here. Are you back from Scotland?

The pump is for my tank at home in LA so it won't be going to Scotland. I am still in Scotland but my dad called me to tell me something was going on with my pump. So how long did it take for them to repair/replace your pumps?

you have to go back and forth with finding the problem. If they think its the dry or wet side, they send you the part i.e. FedEx ground and you wait for the replacement. If it doesn't fix it, then they send you the next possible part, and so on. After its figured out, they have you ship the parts back with a shipping label.
When my MP40w was acting up, we changed the circuit board, wet side, power supply and eventually the dry side. When it was all said and done, they gave me a free ES upgrade.
The caviat to all this is that the unit has to be within the warranty and they ask for the serial number.
If its outside the warranty, I think you end up paying for parts and shipping.

They told me to just send it in but then they wouldn't get back to me about my questions after that. How long is the warranty supposed to be? I can't seem to find any info on warranty length.

I think its a 1 year warranty. Did they ask you when you purchased it and your serial number? Sounds like its longer than a year.

Yeah it's been longer than a year. They asked me how old it was. Maybe that's why they never got back to be. But only 2 years. Shouldn't be having problems after only 2 years.

Luckily I had issues before one year. I also learned to not clean my wet side because every time, the bearing gets stuck and I have to order a new one. It's been working great by not touching anything.
I would send it in if you have a backup pump to replace it.
